I delivered my presentation at the Enterprising Women event on 17 November and have posted an annotated and compressed version of my slides on the new Tips & Tools page. Over the next couple of days, I’ll work on producing a video version with voiceover which will be more like the talk I actually gave.
I originally called it “Making an Innovation Sandwich” because new enterprise ideas start with innovation, then lead to enterprise development, and should make room for further innovation (which I described as creating a culture for innovation in the presentation) – it looked a bit like an innovation sandwich, the middle being your new enterprise. In the end, in particular after feedback and my experience at the Good Deals social investment conference earlier in the week, the message I was conveying was more about joining up the dots between enterprise development, innovation, and finance. However, the original title was certainly intriguing to the Enterprising Women event organisers and attendees!
